Hey there, we’re Jenna and Josh, and this is our story!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a desire to create something of my own. Even after college, I struggled to find a job that sparked passion or purpose, something that truly felt like “me.” During a challenging season of questioning purpose and navigating depression, I discovered candle-making. It brought a spark of creativity and joy I hadn’t felt in any job before. That passion, paired with the support of my incredible husband, Josh, gave me the courage to take a leap of faith, leave my corporate career, and dive headfirst into growing J Squared Candle Co.

From the very beginning, our goal has been simple: to craft candles that do more than smell good. Candles have a unique way of taking us back in time, evoking memories and emotions we will never forget. Each candle we create is inspired by our own personal memories, carefully named to capture the story behind it. We hope that when you light one, it sparks a memory of your own, or even inspires a new one.

As much as we love candles, we also care deeply about what goes into them. Many of our favorite scents in the past weren’t always good for us, and we wanted to make sure that wasn’t the case with J Squared. That’s why every candle is hand-poured with 100% soy wax and clean ingredients, no phthalates, parabens, or dyes. We want every space you fill with our candles to feel safe, intentional, and full of warmth. 

Faith is the foundation of everything we do. Inspired by Matthew 5:16, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven, "we hope that every candle we create reflects His light. It’s our prayer that they bring warmth, joy, and meaningful memories into your home.
