Hey there, we’re Jenna and Josh, and this is our story!

So, here’s how it all started: We’ve always loved trying new things together as a couple, and one day, we decided to give candle-making a try. Our first attempt? Let’s just say it didn’t work out too well. The candle didn’t even smell! So, after a lot of trial and error, we finally got the hang of it and realized how much we loved the process and wanted to share it with others. 

We’ve always loved candles, but it wasn’t just about how good they smell. We’ve always been drawn to the way a scent can take you back in time, bringing back memories in an instant. So, when we decided to start J Squared Candle Co., we knew we wanted our candles to do more than just smell nice, we wanted them to bring back those special moments.

Every candle is inspired by our own personal memories. We put a lot of thought into the names, hoping that when you read them, you feel the emotion and the story behind it. It’s like sharing a little piece of us with you, and we hope it helps spark a memory for you, or maybe even create a brand-new one.

As much as we love a good candle, we started to realize that some of our favorite scents weren’t even good for us. We’ve got family members who get headaches from burning certain candles, and honestly, it made us question what we were really burning. That’s why we decided to use 100% soy wax and non-toxic, clean ingredients in every candle we create. It’s important to us that you can feel good about what’s filling your space.

We’re so grateful that we get to do this journey together — and even more grateful that we get to share it with you. Our faith is the foundation of everything we do, and that’s why our company verse is Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” We truly hope each candle we make reflects that light, bringing warm and joyful memories into your home.
